Inaugurations and Ponies

Next week marks the inauguration of our next President of the United States of America, Barack Obama. I am truly excited for this event. Not only because it marks the first time an African American will be our leader. Not because it is the end of the reign of the worst leader since Emperor Palpatine. Not because it gives me the opportunity to show my children and students a historic event in our country.

No. I'm excited because I believe that it will give a new energy to our country. The positive boost we need to get things jump-started again. I hope we can use this time to really make a difference and get each other back on our feet. Let's all be leaders and make responsible decisions by giving each other the inspiration we need to be successful in the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.

Thank you

  1. What a day this will be not only for us, but especially our children. This is the piece that gets to me the most because this is the most dramatic and historical event our children will see that is positive. We have watched them experience some devastating events in the past several years. It is time for positive and uplifting change! Here's to the leaders of the world - our children!
